This small pine cupboard reflects man’s interaction with nature, and has a wistful and romantic feel to the design – ideal for use as a memory box. It has been painted gold for a feeling of opulence, but toned with earth colours of green and bronze and then layered with yacht varnish to ensure a robust finish. There is a plaited sisal border pelmet on the top.

Drawing on the link with nature, there are pressed primroses (harvested sustainably from our woods) which frame and surround extracts from some letters written by a german father to his daughter in England just after the second World War.
